The scene opens with the king being entertained and enjoying in the company of Devaradiyaars at the Thaliserry habitat. He counsels and instructs them to entertain, motivate and inspire the Slave soldiers, sculptors ,carpentors and Chola soldiers who have devoted themselves in Temple Work, through their dance and drama.

The king says that this was the sole purpose of gathering all the Devaradiaars in this Thaliserry habitat. The sweat, blood and sacrifice of the soldiers enabled the Devaradiyaars to enjoy the current facilities. The King further tells them the importance and the dedication needed to construct the temple citing the engineering nuances and also the need for unanimity amongst the people. He also cites a spiritual story on Maya and tells them that their job is to maintain and ensure tranquility amongst the soldiers and other workers. The Prince is awestruck to see his father engage in such a wise conversation in a very calm and composed manner.
