In continuation of the previous episode the Brahmans further discuss with much admiration and respect as to how the kandhalur road was tranformed from a forest to a highway road effortlessly by the amazing teamwork exhibited by Maravars headed by the army chief commander Brahmarayar. During their discussion they talk about their Brahman counterpart Vaishnavadasan who is a spy in the Chola army. They also discuss about how charity enables people to recognise a particular sect and a person. The discussion further intensifies about political matters where they envisage that their lands will be handed over to Velalars( agriculturalists) and tax levied on them. The Brahmans will be gifted paddy instead. This thought worries them and they discuss strategies as to how to be in good books of the King and to not loose their status and present reputation.Gunavan and Lathi are engrossed in the discussion of the Brahmans. The Brahmans eventually get ready to attend Sandi homam conducted by Brahmarayar. Gunavan and Lathi hesitate and tread slowly behind them.
