Hey friends! Big news—I'm officially on YouTube now! Yes, your girl who's been audio-only is now showing up on video. Messy bun, no mascara, and all. If you want to see what I look like talking about all this, head to YouTube and search "Letisha Bereola"—I'll be there waiting for you. Also, peep the name change? I've decided I'm enough. I don't need a fancy title to lure in potential listeners. This is me, unfiltered.
Let me tell you why this is such a big deal.
I'm 41 years old. I have an award-winning media career behind me. I've been on TV for over a decade. I've produced content for some of the most recognizable people in the world. And yet, for the past few years, I've been hiding. Making excuses. Putting off showing up the way I know I'm supposed to.
In this episode, I'm getting real about why successful women—women with credentials, experience, and proven track records—still struggle to start. Why we wait for everything to be perfect. Why we care what people from our past will think. Why we dim our own lights while helping everyone else shine.
This is my YouTube debut, and honestly? I showed up totally unprepared. Wrong microphone. No makeup. Not in the location I wanted. But I did it anyway—because I realized I was making the same excuses I've been helping my clients overcome for years.
Here's what we talk about in this episode:
**Why high-achieving women hide their gifts**
I had every reason to feel confident stepping into YouTube—experience, credentials, a proven track record. But leaving the "vest" of my TV news anchor role made me realize how much I'd been hiding behind that title. When you have to show up as just YOU, it hits different.
**The real cost of perfectionism**
I was waiting for the right camera, the perfect lighting, to lose 10 pounds, to have my full face done. But all that waiting was just fear dressed up as preparation. If you've been telling yourself "when I'm ready," this will hit home.
**Consumer vs. Creator: Which one are you becoming?**
We're spending 6-8 hours a day on our phones consuming other people's content, opinions, and influence. The race for our attention is only heating up. So I had to ask myself: Am I going to keep consuming, or am I going to create? If I can't beat 'em, I'm gonna join 'em—but on my terms.
**Why I changed the podcast name to The Letisha Bereola Show**
I've rebranded before—from Audacity to With Everything—and each name served its season. But I realized that putting a thematic title over my show was actually limiting how I could show up. So I'm giving myself permission to just be me. All of me. The God-chasing girl. The wife and mom. The entrepreneur. The woman trying to build generational wealth. The one struggling to take care of herself while juggling it all. You're getting all of it now.
**The awareness of everyone watching**
When you've lived 40+ years, you've collected a LOT of people—high school friends, college professors, former colleagues, clients, the woman who gave birth to your kids. The thought of all of them watching you talk about your dreams? It's wild. But I'm working through that, and I want you to know you're not alone if you feel it too.
**Investing in yourself as a beginner**
Even with all my media experience, YouTube intimidated me. So I bought a book. I took a $500 masterclass with Glo. I approached it like a beginner because that's what I am in this space. And there's so much freedom in saying "I don't know this yet, but I'm going to learn."
**Trusting God over the algorithm**
I almost lost myself trying to hack the system—strategizing my way into what I thought would monetize fastest. But God reminded me: if I have a genuine anointing and calling, no algorithm can stop the impact I'm meant to have. The same is true for you.
If you've been sitting on something—a YouTube channel, a business idea, a book, a podcast of your own, anything that requires you to be SEEN—this episode is your permission slip. You don't need to be ready. You just need to start.
And hey, if you want to come see me on YouTube (messy bun and all), search "Letisha Bereola" and subscribe. I'd love to see you over there.
