Though some might find this topic  "challenging" or "uncomfortable", living with racial stereotypes is also challenging and uncomfortable. This is a conversation worth having. We recommend that parents consider that younger children (0-7) may not be able to understand some of the themes discussed in this episode.  It is however important that if kids are online they are often exposed to racist content and concepts and that should always be discussed.

Dean Geronimo and Marc Lee start this month off talking about a number of subjects.  Just a roundtable conversation.

During the Online Dinner Party, we had the pleasure of talking to Actor and Filmmaker Nate Barlow...He talked about being a kid in Tanzania, and he also talked about growing up in Connecticut.....

He also talked about doing a film on Scottish Whiskey and of course a film on the iconic Hollywood sign..

We talked about how Filmmaking has been democratized and can be done from various places, and we also talked about Gig jobs and day jobs in order to maintain while getting their Big Break.....We talked about how kids are more progressive these days......and we also talked about Artist as Activist.....

We were also joined by Raquel Borras and we talked about Documentary and Independent films....We talked about her Youtube channel and how many great conversations she is having with some very talented youths....We talked about kid talent, including Barlow's daughter...We Talked about Motivational Speakers, and we talked about various parts of the country ....We talked about Texas, Virginia, and California....and we talked about Gospel music.....And last but not least, we were joined by Gospel Singer Wendy Boone.....she talked about being Saved and the importance of that in her relationship....We also talked about Faith and some of her favorite Bible verses....She let us know she is not a fan of music competition...

The mystery guests were Mahalia Jackson, Cicely Tyson and Jamaican Sprinter Usain Bolt...

On this edition, we had Jason Freeman, a motivational speaker who does not let his disability stop him from being a powerful voice. He shared his South Dakota thoughts and talked about that state having no income taxes.  He also tore down some of the misconceptions that exist and how he is a fellow Vikings fan. We also talked about terms like gifted, handicapped, or disabled, and alked about the power of Yoga in his relationship. 


Brianne Davis shared her story about being a Love and Sex addiction....we talked about shame and self-loathing...We also talked about Commitment phobia and Fear of Intimacy and fear of being left alone. We also talked about dyslexia and ADHD and how we shouldn't hide our true selves. We also talked about whether Soul mates exist or not. We talked about how Hollywood and industries can definitely color view of people's ideas of love....we talked about Self-esteem and its role on us. We also talked about how we shift from one addiction to another sometimes in life. We also talked about , Swingers, and Cyber relationships and how they can interfere with relationships.....and we talked about how judgmental society can be. Heard some music and a recorded interview in the past with Albert King.



We then went to an Interview with Jesse Carpenter who is one of the founders of Old Hillside Bourbon...we talked about Lexington, Kentucky, Horse Racing, and Hillside history as well as the science of making bourbon. Talked about how their companies paid homage to the history of African Americans in horse racing. He talked about how passionate people in Kentucky are about their basketball and how much they hate Chrisitan Laettner and Coach K in that part of the country...He talked about teaming up with his school friends and also the message he gives to his doubters.....another great evening of conversation.

Dr. Craig Walid joins us on this episode.  A native of Rochester, NY, he is now in North Carolina working with the formerly incarcerated.  They are also working with getting people vaccinated in the penal system. After being released from prison, he earned 3 degrees and now holds a Ph.D. degree.  He is a testament that people CAN change.
