MONK MODE: The Disconnection That Changed My Life
Sometimes, the most important thing you can do for yourself is disconnect.
This episode is personal.
I’m sharing a chapter of my life that taught me what it means to step away from the noise, sit with myself, and begin rebuilding without having all the answers.
Monk Mode wasn’t about disappearing from the world. It was about reconnecting with myself. Learning to be comfortable in the quiet. Making difficult decisions. Letting go of what no longer served me. And finding the discipline to keep moving forward, even when I couldn’t see what was next.
I’m not sharing this story from the finish line. I’m sharing it from the middle of the journey, where growth is uncomfortable, progress isn’t always visible, and some days you’re simply doing your best to figure it all out.
My hope is that something in my experience speaks to where you are in yours.
You don’t have to explain your need for space. You don’t have to justify choosing yourself. And you don’t have to wait until everything falls apart to decide that your well-being deserves your attention.
Sometimes, disconnecting is how you find your way back to yourself.
