This week on Parent Tell Kaila talks with Megan MacCutcheon, a Licensed Professional Counselor focused on perinatal and postnatal mental health. Megan and Kaila discuss what grief can look like in pregnancy (think gender disappointment), during birth (grieving birth expectations), as well as grief postpartum (it suddenly taking you 10 minutes to get in and out of the car because of carseats can be surprisingly grief-y). The moms bring up the power of feeling two contrasting emotions at the same time and why we need to be talking about this more with our partners, doctors, friends, and basically everyone.
