We, the Libertarian Party of Los Angeles County, oppose city council members Nury Martinez' and Mitch O'Farrell's proposed ordinance to require proof of vaccination in order for people to enter indoor public spaces in Los Angeles. This proposal is a dehumanizing, gross violation of personal rights. We believe people have a right to choose what they do or do not put into their bodies, and that government has no authority to compel medical procedures upon non-consenting persons.

Matt Miller is an artist with a specialty in live event painting. He has been seen painting at music festivals, college sports games, Ironman triathlons, weddings, and many other occasions where humans gather to socialize and play. This approach to art is challenging, but also more rewarding because it requires being in the moment.

Matt’s roots as a libertarian fate back to the Ron Paul revolution, when he was a philosophy student attending seminars and participating in student liberty groups. About Michael Lema:

I am a bay area native, I grew up in Hayward, I lived there practically my whole life, until 2015 when I enlisted in the Marine Corps and moved to Havelock North Carolina. I deployed in 2018 via the 26th MEU to the middle east. After returning back home to North Carolina, I started going to school for Electrical Engineering, while finishing my 5 year contract with the Marines. I exited active service March of 2020, and was almost immediately locked down by my government (COVID). I joined the Libertarian Party of Alameda county after a year of being locked down. I serve as the Secretary for the county and At Large Alt for the State party. I look to hopefully run for city council in my current residence of Fremont in 2024 for district 1.

Adrian F Malagon is currently Vice-Chair of the Libertarian Party of Contra Costa County. Being a “small-l” libertarian his entire life, the State’s response to COVID-19 motivated him to become a member of the Libertarian Party of California, and prioritize the advancement of liberty, in addition to providing strong, unapologetic messaging. He’s passionate about opposing California’s “stay-at-home” orders, and is actively working to form a coalition of resistance in the Bay Area against any current, and future government imposed: lockdowns, restrictions, and mandates.

Dan Welby was introduced to libertarian ideas in late 2007 through Ron Paul’s presidential run. It was mostly the anti war position that attracted him, but as he learned more about the philosophy, he found himself to agree with everything else as well.

Dan never got active in politics outside of the Ron Paul presidential runs. He focused on building his business, SoundCheck Music School, along with his wife. However, 2020 happened and as he witnessed our governments implement totalitarianism in order to fight a virus, he was fired up and started looking for liberty minded people that saw these governmental actions for what they where, totalitarian.

Dan found the Mises Caucus and the LA County Libertarian party to have many of these people involved. Seeing how Region 61 in LA County did not have a current representative, Dan decided to step up and take that roll.

Dan is currently the Region 61 Rep for the LA County Libertarian Party and looking for like minded people to join in and meetup to find more and better ways to spread the message of liberty and shrink the size of all governments.

Theodore Gercken is a high school student in California. He is the acting Vice-Chair for the Libertarian Youth Caucus, a nationwide organization with chapters of highschoolers and college students across the nation, and chairs his school's chapter. In addition he serves on the Executive Committee for the Alameda County Libertarian Party. He helps them with social media and runs their website. He has helped out on and worked for Libertarian campaigns on the local and national levels. Theodore loves speech and debate and is putting his skills to work to fight for a world set free of big government.

The local activist from first blocks of Whittier Boulevard join us to talk about the neglect North East LA has seen by the government and their grassroots activism to clean up the neighborhood themselves.

Jia joins me and talks about getting elected to the executive committee of the Libertarian party of California.

She also talks about moving offshore and living the libertarian life outside of government reach.
