  • Episode 22: Stop Following — Start Thinking for Yourself

In this episode of The Life Dojo Podcast, Michael Climmer explores the importance of thinking for yourself and building your own internal code in a world full of external influence.

Modern belief systems, ideologies, and social pressures often shape how people think and behave without them realising it. This conversation breaks down why blindly following systems can limit growth — and why true strength comes from developing your own principles through discipline and self-awareness.

Michael explores lessons from ancient traditions, philosophy, and real-world experience, highlighting how structure, purpose, and internal control create a stronger, more grounded mindset.

The episode also challenges the idea of fighting external systems, suggesting that real power comes from transcending them through clarity, discipline, and self-mastery.

If you're interested in discipline, mindset, mental strength, and personal development, this episode will help you think more clearly, take control of your life, and build your own path.

  • Episode 20: Control Your Emotions or They Will Control You

In this episode of The Life Dojo Podcast, Michael Climmer explores why emotional control is one of the most important skills a man can develop.

Emotions are not the problem — lack of control is. This conversation breaks down how unchecked emotions can lead to instability, poor decisions, and self-sabotage, while emotional awareness and discipline create strength and clarity.

Michael explores how past experiences, childhood patterns, and unprocessed emotions shape behaviour in adulthood — and how many men remain stuck in cycles they don’t fully understand.

The episode also highlights how martial arts, adversity, and self-reflection help build emotional intelligence, resilience, and control over your reactions.

If you're interested in discipline, mental strength, mindset, and personal development, this episode will help you understand your emotions and learn how to manage them effectively.

  • Episode 19: You’ve Been Lied To About What It Means to Be a Man

In this episode of The Life Dojo Podcast, Michael Climmer explores how modern society has shaped and distorted what it means to be a man.

Many men feel pressure, confusion, and a lack of direction — not because they are weak, but because they’ve been given conflicting messages about identity, strength, and purpose. This conversation breaks down how modern expectations, social influence, and external validation create a false version of masculinity.

Michael explores how discipline, emotional control, and self-awareness help men reconnect with a stronger, more grounded identity — one built on truth rather than external pressure.

If you're interested in discipline, mindset, masculinity, and personal development, this episode will challenge how you see yourself and what it really means to be a man.

  • Episode 17: Hunter gatherer vs modern man: What's gone wrong?

Ancient wisdom vs. modern nutrition—are we eating ourselves into weakness?

To make sense of the present, we have to look to the past. Ancient hunter-gatherers were lean, strong, and thriving—so what changed? In this episode, I break down how modern nutrition has led to weaker, sicker societies, while ancestral diets provided strength and resilience. We’ll explore what ancient civilizations knew about food, why modern processed diets are keeping people in a weakened state, and how returning to a primal way of eating—whether through a carnivore or whole-food-based approach—can transform health.

Are we being misled about nutrition? Decide for yourself!

  • Episode 16: Mid-life crisis or mid-life awakening?

Is the midlife crisis really a crisis—or is it a midlife awakening?

In this video, I share my personal journey of realizing that what I once thought was a crisis was actually a wake-up call—a sign that I was unfulfilled and needed a change. It led me on a path of self-discovery, purpose, and personal growth.

I also discuss my work as a life coach and the many men I’ve helped who felt lost, stuck, or unfulfilled. The truth is, a midlife crisis isn’t about decline—it’s about transformation. It’s life telling you that you’re not doing what you’re truly meant to do.

One powerful question I ask my clients:
“If money was no object, what would you do for the rest of your life?”

If you’re feeling lost or questioning your purpose, this episode is for you. Let’s turn crisis into clarity and awakening.

  • Episode 15: Martial Arts: The path to self-mastery

Martial arts isn’t just about fighting—it’s about transformation.

In this video, I share my personal journey into martial arts, starting at age 10, and how it became a powerful tool to channel my anger, build discipline, and shape me into the man I am today. Inspired by The Karate Kid, I stepped onto the path of martial arts and never looked back.

Martial arts isn’t just about self-defence—it’s about mastering yourself. From mental toughness to physical fitness, from confidence to self-discipline, the principles of martial arts apply to every area of life. I also dive into Kaizen—the philosophy of continuous improvement—and how it drives personal growth beyond the dojo.

Whether you're a beginner or a lifelong martial artist, this video will inspire you to embrace the warrior mindset and push yourself to the next level. Are you ready to evolve?

  • Episode 13: How to draw strength from trauma

In this powerful and transformative episode, I share the story of how I began my healing journey at age 41. Inspired by the remarkable story of Geoff Thompson—a world-renowned karate expert and former nightclub bouncer who overcame the trauma of childhood abuse to transform his life—I took a deep dive into my own struggles with anger and unresolved pain from trauma.

Through self-reflection and inner work, I discovered that my anger stemmed a from traumatic experience at 4 years old, the abusive treatment from teachers and the constant fights and conflicts I endured during my school years. But instead of letting it define me, I turned my pain into strength. From resilience and mental toughness to learning martial arts, traveling the world, and becoming an entrepreneur, my journey eventually led to a profound spiritual awakening and a desire to help others heal.

If you’re ready to draw strength from your trauma and transform your life, this video will guide and inspire you to begin your own healing journey.
