David and His Emotions (Part 1)

Context:

youngest child --> forgotten/ignoredyoung when anointed --> but a secretsuccess (Goliath) makes Saul hate him --> lives as a fugitive

David was under a lot of stress.

What happens to us when we live in difficult situations?

David expressed his emotions--primarily in the Psalms:

anger (Psalm 109)sorrow (Psalm 22)confession (Psalm 32 & 51)joy (Psalm 103)

David was human.

God created emotions--all of them. He want us to face our emotions to draw us closer to Him.
