There are very many benefits of thinking. There is a medical and philosophical term called "Grooves of thought". It means that the literal brain grows when you learn something new, allocating a spaces in the physical brain for that new thinking.

My friend calls it 'boiling your head'. At the end of the day, I know that the quality of the life we live is directly proportional to the quality and quantity of deliberate thoughts that we have in life. Listen to why this is important.
