Fate has the connotations of helplessness and haplessness to some finality in life, most especially on something we don't want but must face. As such the opposite of this would be destiny.
When it comes to purpose pursuit, we cannot claim that we are victims of fate. There are several reasons why I say so. In this episode, we look at one of them. Listen to this.

Fate is the development of events outside a person's choices, decisions or control. It's like it doesn't matter what you do, fate will find you.
Fortunately, we cannot say the same thing about purpose pursuit. It's not an afterthought. It's not a sentence, it's even not a must. Whereas you don't decide what your purpose is, you do have control over It's deployment. Listen to this.

There are quite a number of reasons why you and I are not victims of fate. Fate would mean that we have no say in our purpose pursuit, and we are forced to accept whatever life throws at us.
However, when you understand the point I am sharing in this episode, you will see how possible it is to flip interviews. Your relevance is not in how many interviews you attend, but how well you can interview life. Listen to this.

I do not know the pain, heartache or crises you have faced and are facing today. So I might come off as an insensitive and unfeeling guy who doesn't care when i say that you are not a victim of fate.
However, i honestly do believe that you indeed were predestined and that your very existence is intentional. Listen to this.

I believe that your purpose, when you get to serve it, is not fate. It is destiny. That's why it is possible to live a life outside of it for decades and even be happy. However, you won't be fulfilled.
If purpose pursuit was fate, something that is inevitable, something that's forced on you, then everyone would suffer it. Here's why I believe otherwise.

Your phone or any gadget through which you are reading these words is an inanimate object. It didn't have any decision, let alone opinion on how it's to function.
You on the other hand has the powers to choose, to decide and to feel good or bad about your life purpose. The interesting thing is that just like your phone, you don't decide what your purpose is. Fate? Listen to this.

Different people are passionate about different things. My guest has massive experience in the Telecom Industry having worked there at different level, niches and countries.
It's from this experience that he developed a passion for clean energy. I had a conversation with him about his career and so how he ended up being passionate about solar energy. He is a trained engineer who has now founded his company to champion solutions in clean energy. If that's your thing, I am sure you will enjoy this conversation. Listen to this.

These are pretty strong words to juxtapose purpose betwixt them. When we are deploying our purpose, is it fate that we do it whether we like it or not? Is it destiny where we are preselected and thus participate with joy?
Do we have control over what our purpose in life can be? We need to answer these questions and more. Here is my attempt in this episode. Listen to this.

Today, 12th September 2022, marks a very special day for The Fourth Heritage Initiative. It's an organisation that has been founded by my guest in today's episode, Emmanuel Kirunda.
As such, today's episode is one of those rare conversations that I call "Special Conversation" because it's unusual for me to publish a conversation on a Monday. Today's is necessary because of timing and seasonality.
Emmanuel is a Ugandan working in Europe but with an insatiable burden to influence the mindsets of fellow Africans for a better heritage. Listen to this wonderful conversation. Ps. The launch is at National Theater in Kampala at 2 PM EAT.

It's a great question to answer. Do we have control over our purpose in terms of what it is or is it something thay is forced on us?
In this episodes going forward, I want to explore that subject of fate and destiny. What do you think it is as far as your purpose is concerned? Listen to this.
