God's blessings don't mean life will be free from suffering. In this powerful message, Dr. Michael Youssef teaches from 1 Kings 17, where the widow of Zarephath experiences both God's miraculous provision and the devastating loss of her son.
After witnessing God provide food during a famine, the widow faced an unimaginable tragedy. Her grief turned to fear, guilt, and questions about God's goodness. But Elijah didn't argue or offer empty answers. He turned to God in prayer.
Through Elijah's persistent intercession, God restored the boy's life, revealing His power over death and His faithfulness in times of suffering.
This episode challenges you to:
When life doesn't make sense, God is still faithful. Discover how Elijah's example can strengthen your prayer life and help you trust the Lord through suffering.

What happens when we ignore the elephant in the room: God Himself? Studying Romans 1:24–32, Dr. John Neufeld examines the three times “God gave them up”: to sexual impurity, to dishonourable passions contrary to the Creator’s design, and to a debased mind. As it was in Paul's day, this is a counter-cultural expression about God's original design and authority over our bodies. At the heart of these issues is idolatry and failing to worship God — a great evil for which we need a Saviour.
The Heart of the Gospel: This 25-message series on Romans 1–4 presents us with Christianity 101. It is the basics of our faith, teaching us how we can know for certain that sins are forgiven and what it is to live by faith.
What if God called you to a life of obscurity and years of hardship? What if He called you to wander in the desert for four decades? What would happen to your faith then? Well, consider how a person just like you dealt with those exact circumstances. John MacArthur lifts up that man’s obedience as a model for you to follow as he continues his study called A Faith That Pleases God.

The Lord Intercedes for Us
By: Michelle Lazurek
Bible Reading:
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” - Romans 8:26-27
It was a summer of trial. It was one thing after another, with no end in sight. My husband and I prayed together and clung to God's promises. We read the Word and hoped God would lessen the trials and be a little more merciful. But it ne
The story of the rich man and Lazarus is here to show us what matters in the long run and what does not. The rich man enjoyed good things in this life, but they mean nothing to him beyond the grave—where he finds himself excluded from the bliss of the Lord’s presence and the Kingdom. From the other side of the grave, his greatest wish is for his loved ones to be warned to repent, but he is powerless to help them by that time. This vision of eternity gives us a powerful and clear perspective on wealth and what really matters.
