When Jacob settles his family near a Canaanite city instead of continuing on to Bethel, the consequences are devastating — his daughter Dinah is assaulted, and his sons respond with deception and murder. Dr. John Neufeld traces how years of parental neglect and misplaced priorities set the stage for tragedy, offering a sobering challenge to parents about guarding their children's faith.
Amazing Promises to Dysfunctional People: In this 20-message series, Dr. John Neufeld walks through the dysfunctional family of Abraham found in Genesis 25-36, uncovering the relational brokenness at its core. Sin leaves human relationships fractured—we long for connection, yet find ourselves divided in so many ways. Listen in, and be challenged to live with integrity even when the world around you feels like it's falling apart.
One definition for family is “a museum of memories.” As you think of your family, what pictures hang in the gallery of your mental images? What kind of memories are you creating for your family now?
Can you lose your salvation in Jesus Christ? How can you be sure you haven’t lost it already? Can you even have complete assurance that you’re saved? If so, how do you get it? For answers to those and other important questions, join John MacArthur as he continues his encouraging study called Our Great Salvation.
Pastor Chuck Swindoll presents lasting lessons on suffering, hope, and the assurance of salvation.

Jesus is the Son of God—the divine prince of heaven. Matthew makes that so clear to us on the Mount of Transfiguration. As we read on in Matthew, what is so very striking is the way in which Jesus exercises his heavenly authority and power. We see him showing mercy to the suffering, submitting himself to the cross as he prepares to go to Jerusalem, and in his interactions, taking care to avoid offense. Jesus shows us a unique kind of authority here—a humble authority. He will use his power to save us—and he will show us what it looks like to follow this humble King.
Through the story of Abraham, we see what it means to trust God before seeing the outcome. God promised Abraham descendants, a land, and a legacy that would bless generations. Yet many of those promises took years—and even generations—to unfold. Abraham did not always understand how God would fulfill His promises, and he did not live to see every part of them completed. Still, God remained faithful.
When progress feels slow or the results of our work remain unseen, it can be tempting to quit. But a lack of visible results does not mean God is absent or inactive. Faith often means continuing to obey, trust, and move forward while we wait for God's purposes to unfold.

Bible Reading:
“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:2-3 (NIV)
“I am done! I have spent hours investing in this ministry, and after a year, still nothing has changed,” I yelled into the air. I’d felt confident in God’s leading me to start this new program for the community, yet everywhere I turned, I was faced with opposition, roadblocks, and general disappointment.
Admittedly, I am great at starting things but horrible at finishing them– especially when I can’t see the fruits of my labor. I shared with my husband that I was contemplating throwing in the towel; I’d obviously misheard God speaking to my heart.
My husband, who, thank goodness, is always there to calm me and offer a word of encouragement or a differ
