This episode is something of a continuation from the rather short introduction to the fascinating world of mycelium. This fungal network serves so many vital roles in Nature, so as permaculture practitioners, it is vital to understand and foster these roles in our garden and food forest spaces. I hope the information discussed here will inspire you to learn more and more about this astonishing and vastly underrated community for good!
In this episode, I cover other criteria you might want to consider when trying to find land suitable for a permaculture farm. Overlays, and even phone apps are discussed in order to better equip you for the big purchase decision. My hope is that these tools will make that decision a lot less stressful. Peace...
In this episode, I continue discussing criteria you might want to consider when trying to find land suitable for a permaculture farm. Overlays, and select phone apps are discussed in order to better equip you for the big purchase decision. We finish with a short introduction to a two-part series on perhaps the most important element in any garden or farm: the mycelium network. It is akin to an underground neural network connecting plants to much-needed nutrients. Truly amazing! Thanks for listening, and please remember to share your comments. Peace...
In this episode, we will truly begin this wondrous journey by introducing you to key permaculture principles, talking about various courses and when/why you should take them. Finally, we'll explore a few criteria that are critical to your land selection and evaluation process. There is so much to consider here that this will be the first of two parts on the matter. As always, thanks so much for tuning in, and please share your thoughts as we venture forward together. Peace...
Like most of you, my initial reaction to news of the pandemic was initially one of fear and concern, which fairly quickly morphed into a basic belief that, in time, the government would come to grips with the situation and mount an appropriate response. However, over time, my confidence in their response waned, due in large part to growing numbers of scientists, researchers and physicians announcing that we had no truly reliable testing In place to accurately measure the scale, and more importantly, the overall mortality rate of this virus. In light of that revelation, I began to wonder if the international economic lockdown was an appropriate, measured response to the crisis. These are my thoughts on the matter. Thank you so much for tuning in! Peace...
Hey everyone, and welcome!
I hope and pray you and your loved ones are well. I decided to forego my intended permaculture episode in order to share some timely and useful information about COVID-19. I hope what you learn here will make your journey through this crisis a little easier, and I encourage any listeners to likewise share what you have discovered in your research, as well.
I believe that sharing critical information with one another in times like this can make a meaningful difference in the number of us who succumb to this dreadful pandemic. While I have done my best to verify anything shared here, please do your own research. That applies to anything you watch, hear, or read from other sources, too. Finally, thank you for stopping by, stay vigilant, remain hopeful, and know that this WILL end one day. Peace...

It was difficult to decide whether to devote this episode to permaculture gardening, as first planned, or to use the platform to share important health information I had discovered about staying safe during this COVID-19 crisis. I finally decided that it was imperative to share what I learned in the hope of getting solid information out to listeners.
So, I hope you take the time to listen. I think I've located some not-so-mainstream info. that could be beneficial to you, your family, and friends going forward. Please let me know if you think so, as well, and feel free to share interesting and useful info. you may have come across, as well.
Thanks everyone. Stay safe, remain vigilant and take care of one another as best you can. Peace...
Welcome to P3R!
In this inaugural episode, I explain what each letter in the name represents, and offer a feeble attempt to address the elephant in the room: why this podcast has three central themes!
Finally, I break down how the podcast will function going forward and wrap things up with a brief personal bio.
So thanks for stopping by, and don't hesitate to contact me with your questions, concerns, or suggestions about how to make the podcast better.
Cheers from balmy British Columbia!
