In this weeks episode of THE LIKES OF US podcast, dedicated to Working-Class Life, Art, Politics and Culture, your host, Neil Bradley offers up the official book launch of Louise Stein's debut memoir: A Wardrobe on the Beach. There's a couple of readings from the author, a question and answer session, along with the hosts observations on the book, writing, his time working with the author, his own time as a struggling writer, and his determination to retain his own voice. There's also a passionate call to arms for budding Working-Class writers, with a warning that if we don't attempt capturing our stories, our family histories, the way we live, love and work, it will all be lost to time. Following the book launch he enjoys a well-earned pint in his local, messes up the recording, and laments with a drunken bus driver the loss of the 'good old days!'
