Because He lives, death is defeated and sin is paid for. You can walk in newness of life with meaning and purpose.

Holy Week begins with the triumphant entrance of the Messiah into Jerusalem. 

The tongue has the power of life and death! We need someone to do for us, what we cannot do for ourselves. Only God can tame the tongue and that starts with a personal relationship with Him.

God never forgot His people, He saw every moment of their waiting. The fully devoted cling to the promise that God sees them in their waiting.

This is the Good News of Malachi and the whole Old Testament: You cannot do it. Only the Messiah can.

God was calling His people to be fully devoted by bringing their first and best. God did not need their money but longed for the heart of His people. Where your treasure is, your heart is.

Malachi responds to the people of Israel questioning God’s justice by pointing them to the future Messiah. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and the way to experience his fire as refining and not consuming is to place your faith and hope and trust in Him.

Our love for God should drastically affect the relationships in our life. When our relationship with God is broken, the relationships around us will be broken.

God sends Malachi to share one thing with His people – “Return to me.” Before correcting us, God loves us because He chose us. His unconditional love should motivate us in all that we do.
