The Lineup Podcast

This week we welcome Justin Bonilla back to the show to cover what each of us considers the best movie of the year from 2010-2014. Along the way we will also talk about our personal blindspots, honorable mentions, and WORST movies of the decade because no Lineup is complete without talking about movies we can't stand!

Enjoy this episode recorded back in August! We've been a little out of commission but are excited to continue our conversation about movie marketing. Are tag lines effective or just cheesy? We discuss the great tag lines but probably have more fun reciting the terrible ones!

The only logical next step you can take when not posting an episode for months is to release BONUS CONTENT! We went to Universal studios for Justin's (past and future guest) bachelor party and we hear from Luke about his thoughts on visiting the park for the first time.

This week we have our most niche bonus episode yet featuring Justin Bonilla! We talk about the Universal Monster movies, tell embarrassing stories from Universal Studios, and the Bonilla brothers finally admit that they're the worst friends anyone could ever have.

Today we welcome special guest Buddy Ferda, longtime listener of the show and father to Luke. We discuss his approach to viewing film, his worst theater experience, and explore the meaning and value of war films. If you like world history, this is for you! If you hate pigeons...the first two minutes are for you!

Kyle Lund joins us this week as we talk about what makes a great sports film and why Americans love underdogs (and love being #1 at the same time). Also, Luke rewatched Batman Forever and the Bonilla family hates communism.

This week we are joined by Zechary Hale to discuss the art of quoting the movies. Why do we love to recite our favorite lines in our every day lives? What is the most quotable film of all time? We tackle all of those questions and deliver our top 5 quotes!

Justin Bonilla joins us for a discussion on one of our favorite movies you've never heard of...1990's "Treasure Island" starring Charlton Heston and Christian Bale. Our top 5 this week is movies we wish everyone else loved; films that are overlooked, underrated, or ones we think everyone needs to see.
