Silver is refined in an incredibly hot crucible. Isaiah 48:10 says we. are refined in our suffering.

As figure skater growing up, I desperately wanted to give up many times. But my coach wouldn't let me. She knew the good...the reward of not giving up.

When we persevere through our trials, the good waiting for us on the other side is perfectly reflecting the image of our Creator.

As lingerers in Jesus, we hear often that we should memorize God's Word.

We even believe the benefits to be true.

And yet…it's not something we do often. We see it as great for children's church or midweek club, but when it comes to memorizing Scripture as an adult, we have lots of reasons why we don't.

It's hard. My brain is old and tired. Brain fog. Too busy. Don't have the time. Don't have the energy.
