On the twenty-fourth, extra cash-grabby episode of Much Review About Nothing, we review The Lion King (2019). Again, we must point out that we haven't seen the movie. That is 100% not a joke. Everything we know about the film comes from the trailer, reviews, articles, and our own biased preconceptions. Listen along as we ponder burning questions like: Why are lions so inept at sharing their feelings? Is it a bad idea to cast a musical with people who can’t sing? How did Disney get Beyonce confused with Beyounce, her weirder, less-talented sister? Did Timon and Pumbaa stay alive by sacrificing members of their animal community to Simba? If there’s no “Be Prepared” or Hula Scene, why was this remake even greenlighted? But most importantly, who is the mysterious Giraffe King, and will he defeat all challengers (by kicking them) to take his place as leader of the pride?
