THE RESEARCH ON HOMEWORK
Did you know there really was a "secret code" to reading? When we were children, most of us didn't need to know what the code was because we were wired in a way that made reading acquisition come naturally. We simply needed proper guidance from a teacher with reading materials at the right level. But not everyone learns to read this way. There are MANY children who CAN learn to read – if they are taught in a way that matches how they are wired to learn. What is this way? It's a multisensory, systematic approach to reading that teaches the "secret code" step by step. At Lawrence, we call this CodeBreakers. Want more information? Here’s the link to a informational session we presented to the community in November of 2018: youtu.be/Oa8sTHUdZVw You can also download the presentation slides here: tinyurl.com/yd24fsl8
