The world has gone through some massive changes since the pandemic and many of us have been on a journey of self-discovery. I can't believe we are already in Season 4! Throughout this season we will continue discussions about tools, principles and concepts that have allowed my guests and I to change our lives, love ourselves and those around us, and lead a life filled with joy, peace, and connection!
Yes, there really are four people in my head, and guess what they live in your head too!! Understanding Transactional Analysis was so important for me to be able to let go of the past and step into the present.
- Getting in touch with the child heart, learning to play, have fun and listen to the emotion that I was feeling, well it's changed my life.
- Realizing the strength and resiliency of my adolescent along with the rebellious and sometimes passive aggressive tendencies has taken me out of the overwhelm and feelings of exhaustion that were a part of my day-to-day life.
- Realizing I was shoulding on myself – A LOT developed an awareness that I had a strong self-made critical parent in my head. Stepping out of the feeling that I needed to have all my shit together…
- Then tapping my mature adult who plays a critical role in the management of my inner family created a whole new awareness for me.
Listen in as I talk about these four people who play around in our heads, how we can be aware when they each show up or when we need them to show up more frequently. Check out more information on Transactional Analysis and the work Eric Berne has done by simply googling Transactional Analysis. Disclaimer – I am not a therapist nor claim to be one. This tool is referred to slightly differently than Eric Berne's work and I'm sharing from my own experience through a local Sandpoint group called Responsible Living.
