The midnight sun is a really cool thing to behold. Being in an environment where the sun never sets...it can be disorienting at first, but it can be a really profound experience. By witnessing the midnight sun on the arctic circle in Canada, I gain a new perspective on the love of God and how that love is everlasting.

I love having the chance to sit down and talk with good friends! And for this episode I got to do just that. Megan Pizarro is the Relief Society President in my ward (she oversees the women's organization in my church congregation) and she is also a dear friend. She's also been one of the biggest supporters of this podcast and for that I am so so grateful! 

In this episode, Megan and I talk about her calling as the Relief Society president and the very important lessons that she's learned along the way as she served the women in our ward and as she has learned to rely on  Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the people that she serves alongside. We also discuss some of her unique life experiences that  help her be more effective at reaching out to those who are struggling and showing empathy to all of those that she encounters. She has an amazing story that it truly inspiring!

Ethan Mitchell is my 12 year old son who is also a fantastic baseball player! He has been one of my biggest cheerleaders and I am always happy when I get a chance to return to the cheering! Just in the last couple of weeks, Ethan has been faced with some hard decisions, especially hard when you are a 12 year old! I'm so proud of him for the good choices that he makes and the confidence that he has in making them.

I met him when he was the pianist in primary when I was the Primary President. Seriously, our primary was the happening place to be!! It was like having our own Billy Joel in the primary every Sunday. Well, he has now taken his creative talents into the realm of writing and it's a perfect fit. As the author of The Paradise Planet book series, he has taken world building to new levels.
