Weekly deaths in America have dropped from approximately 15,000/week in April to less than 500/week as of the week ending August 1st.
Faith: 1 John 4:4-5 and Romans 12:2. We aren't supposed to live life in a way that resembles society, but rather should be set apart. This feels even more pertinent given the current state of our culture.
Family: I made my family wait in the car while I stood 3-deep in line for a bathroom that wasn't even occupied.
Football: The Big Ten and PAC-12 urinated on our legs and told us it was raining.
Finance:
1) Don't chase heaters
2) Diversify globally to more discounted asset categories (EM Value)
3) Value and growth have some of the largest price disparity in market history.
4) If you make south of 325k (MFJ), consider NOT deferring taxes.
5) Bonds stink. Don't assume if you're closer to retirement that it's time to load up on fixed income as today's economic environment possesses unique risks.
