I was once of the mindset that lighting was not a necessity, and that we just need to turn on the lights and get down to worship. But as I discovered over the years that lighting itself holds much more weight, the power of light can affect moods and convey certain feelings that we want to portray.

God’s word says this.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

- Psalm 119:105

This episode is all about the art of story telling in production. Jesus told story's known as parables to his disciples, to the crowds, and to the scribes and Pharisees . Using the imagery of his day he was able to convey different lessons he wanted to teach. Today in production we can use the tactics to tell the story's and lessons of Jesus, in and through the artistic form of Worship production.

When talking to new volunteers who want to run camera, they think all there is to it, is to move the camera up and down and from side to side. After two sessions of camera training they begin to realize that there is more to it than that, and began to second guess their decision.

In Production there are a lot of things that need to be kept track of, things like volunteer positions that need to be staffed for Sunday, having all the correct graphics, Pads, Lights.... the list goes on and on. It is important to have a well-organized production team, All through the exodus account, God told Moses how the Tabernacle was to be ordered.

The pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light.

Exodus 39:37

In our last podcast, we talked about leadership and setting the stage for vision. Today we are going to talk about the people who help carry out that vision..... Volunteers. These wonderful people are the lifeblood of any production team.

Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint but blessed is one who heeds wisdom and instruction.  - Proverbs 29:18.

Some times in production we can be so focused on the production and the gear, that we forget that there are people that need to be lead or need to be told when or how to do something, and we can find our self frustrated that things aren’t turning out the way we would like. Well, today we are gonna be talking about leadership and vision.
