AI can make us faster, more efficient, and better prepared. But there are parts of leadership technology cannot replace.
In this episode, Nan explores where AI helps and where human judgment, courage, creativity, discernment, accountability, and relationship still matter most.
Because AI can draft the email. It can help you prepare. It can even sound like you.
But it cannot lead for you.
Use the technology. Just don’t outsource the human.

October 1 marked the day I became cancer free, but this episode is not only about breast cancer. It is about what cancer taught me about living.
In this heartfelt episode, I share how that season changed the way I think about time, purpose, courage, relationships and legacy. Living life to the fullest is not about doing more or chasing extraordinary moments. It is about being present, living on purpose for a purpose, doing hard things, loving people well and building a life that matters.
Because it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to share why wearing pink still means so much to me, why early detection matters, and why I hope you never need a diagnosis, loss or crisis to remind you how precious your life already is.
John 10:10 says Jesus came so that we could have life and live it to the fullest.
My hope is that this episode reminds you to live that way now.

Sometimes growth shows up where you least expect it.
When Nan's husband, Dave, joined the LivePINK Podcast as its first guest, he stepped into something deeply uncomfortable. He became emotional. He allowed himself to be vulnerable. And when given the choice to record it again or leave it exactly as it was, he said:
“Publish it. That’s who I am.”
But Dave wasn't the only one being stretched.
The experience challenged Nan to confront her own need for control, allow imperfection, and recognize that excellence doesn't always require everything to be perfectly polished.
In this episode, Nan explores what happens when we stop developing only the things we're already good at and become willing to step into what's unfamiliar. She digs into the psychology of fear, avoidance, repetition and confidence, and why something you're “bad at” may simply be unpracticed.
Because understanding yourself isn't enough.
Planning isn't enough.
Wanting to grow isn't enough.
At some point, you have to DO something.
So where are you waiting to feel confident before you act?
And more importantly:
What are you going to do about it?
Sometimes we don't need another answer. We need someone willing to help us see what we're avoiding, challenge the story we've built around it, and then hold us accountable to doing something about it.

If you listened to our last episode on non-negotiables, you heard the story: the list, the lessons learned from ignoring it, and eventually, the man who checked the boxes, right down to the black Toyota 4Runner.
Well, now you get to meet him.
For the first time on the LivePINK Podcast, Nan's husband, Dave, steps out from behind the scenes and joins her behind the microphone. And there's one more person at the table: Nan's sister, Missy, who was actually there the night Nan and Dave met, is taking over as emcee.
With seven questions for Nan and seven for Dave, nothing is rehearsed and very little is off limits. They talk about love, marriage, life, careers, money, compromise, and what more than 20 years together has taught them about building a life together while still being willing to build what's next.
You'll hear both sides of a story you've only heard from Nan, including when Dave knew, what they've learned to compromise on, where they see things differently, and what remains non-negotiable after all these years.
It's personal, candid, and a little different from anything we've done on the LivePINK Podcast before.
And yes, Dave is real.
Schedule a free call with me at LivePINK Coachcing. We'll talk about where you are, what you're building next, and what needs to become non-negotiable to help you get there.
We compromise every day. In business, leadership, relationships, and life, compromise isn't just healthy, it's necessary. But what happens when we start compromising the things we once said were non-negotiable?
In this episode, Nan shares a deeply personal story about a list she created in her 20s, the painful consequences of ignoring it, and what happened when she finally decided: no more compromising my non-negotiables.
You'll explore the difference between a preference, a desirable, and a true non-negotiable, and why knowing the difference can help you make clearer decisions before emotions, opportunities, money, fear, or other people start negotiating for you.
Whether you're building what's next in your business, career, relationships, or life, this episode will challenge you to ask:
What matters enough that I'm no longer willing to trade it for something else I want?
And then, grab a piece of paper. It's time to create your own list.

For years, Nan’s answer was simple: “I don’t do numbers.” From grocery spending and car insurance to credit card interest, numbers were something she would rather avoid than understand.
Fast forward to today, and knowing your numbers has become one of the things she teaches most.
In this one-year anniversary episode of The LivePINK Podcast, Nan shares some of her own podcast numbers, including a few that made her uncomfortable, and what happened when she stopped judging the numbers and started getting curious about what they were telling her.
We’ll also talk about personal budgets, business scorecards, why “busy” doesn’t necessarily mean your business is growing, and how to choose numbers that actually mean something to you.
You don’t have to become a “numbers person.” You just need to know enough to ask better questions and make better decisions.

What if the things shaping your life aren't your biggest decisions, but the small ones you keep repeating?
In this final episode of The Conversations We Have With Ourselves series, Nan explores the power of patterns, why our brains learn what we repeat, and how both healthy and unhealthy patterns can quietly influence where we're headed.
As The LivePINK Podcast celebrates its one-year anniversary, Nan shares how a nine-month pattern of waiting almost kept her from starting, and how one episode a week ultimately became a year of consistency, growth, and some unexpected lessons of her own.
You'll learn how to recognize the patterns already operating in your life, understand what may be reinforcing them, and begin creating patterns that move you toward who you want to become.
Because the life you want isn't built in the milestone.
It's built in the pattern that gets you there.
Monday. Next month. January 1st. After vacation.
We love a fresh start. But what happens when you've had so many fresh starts that even YOU aren't convinced anymore?
In this episode of The LivePINK Podcast, Nan explores how to rebuild trust with yourself without making bigger promises or waiting for motivation to return.
You'll learn why smaller commitments can create powerful evidence, how to recover when you don't follow through, and why consistency isn't about never missing. It's about becoming someone who returns.
Because rebuilding trust with yourself doesn't require another declaration.
It starts with one small commitment, kept.

LivePINK.
Because life is meant to be lived to the fullest.
You said you were going to do it.
Again.
But somewhere inside, there's a little voice saying, "Sure you are."
What happens when the person you're having trouble believing is YOU?
In this episode of The LivePINK Podcast, Nan explores how the commitments we make, keep, and break become evidence. Evidence that can either strengthen our confidence or slowly weaken our trust in ourselves.
You'll discover why avoidance can feel so good in the moment, how fear, failure, rejection, and even boredom can influence our choices, and why what looks like a discipline problem may actually be something else entirely.
Most importantly, we'll look at how to stop waiting for confidence and start creating the evidence that builds it.
Because if you want to believe yourself again, you have to give yourself something to believe.
If today's episode made you think about a promise you've made to yourself, share this episode with someone who might need the same conversation.

LivePINK.
Because life is meant to be lived to the fullest.
You were motivated yesterday. You made the plan. You meant it.
Then the moment came to actually do it...and suddenly, you didn't want to.
Why does that happen?
In this episode of The LivePINK Podcast, Nan explores what's happening in our brains when motivation disappears, why our present self can have very different priorities than our future self, and how easily we can begin talking ourselves out of things we genuinely wanted.
You'll discover why planning can actually feel like progress, how immediate rewards compete with what we want long-term, and why changing your mind isn't necessarily the problem. The bigger question may be understanding why you changed it.
Plus, we're playing Myth or Truth to challenge a few things we've been taught about motivation and discipline.
If you've ever wondered, "Why can't I just do what I said I was going to do?" this episode is for you.
