You most likely will be surprised at who does and who doesn’t make it into heaven. The heartbreaking truth is that many people – even pastors and church leaders – will not make it. As Pastor Danny will explain in today’s message, just like Judas, these people may have their act down: they say all the right things and avoid all the wrong actions; they just seem so close to God. Yet, their hearts can be far from Him. They never truly humbled themselves – they simply covered up in rules and regulations.

What ways are you trying to hide your sin from God? As Pastor Danny will point out in today’s message, since the first instance of sin, man has been trying to hide it from God. It’s a futile effort. Nothing is hidden from Him. You may not physically be hiding in the bushes like Adam, but one big way we try to hide from Him is in our religion. You may know the sinful state of your heart, but you try to cover it up with good works and following the rules externally. But, what God really cares about is your heart.

When you hear the story of the Israelites being rescued from Egypt, you most likely don’t give a second thought for the Egyptians. We generally just think of them as little more than collateral damage. But, as Pastor Danny will clarify in today’s message, God loved the Egyptians too. In the plague of the death of the firstborn, the Egyptians were given the opportunity for mercy just the same as the Hebrews. If they covered their doorway in the blood of the lamb, they too would have been passed over.

Motion pictures and books have been inspired by the life of Moses. He was saved from genocide as a baby, raised as royalty, then forced into exile for his mistakes. Years later, he returned to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt which was followed up by a life of leading the lost nation in the desert. As Pastor Danny will point out in today’s message, the ways God orchestrated the life of this man aren’t only good for a dramatic storyline, his life demonstrates so much about God’s love, compassion and sovereignty.

For many of us, this word is almost difficult to say, let alone fully grasp as believers and followers of Christ. However, if we truly desire to see The Lord move in and through our lives, we must first remove all confidence we might have in the flesh.
