The Epistle of James is one of many gems of the Bible that several well known scholars have referred to as the “Proverbs of the New Testament.” This letter is also largely recognized as having been written by the very brother of our Lord. But how do we know for sure? In today's message, Pastor Danny will introduce us to this remarkable epistle while providing several portions of Scripture as evidence for James' authorship. So many of us are walking around, professing our faith quietly with our mouths, while our actions don’t look any different than the rest of the world. As Pastor Danny exhorts us in today’s message, you are set apart and your life should stand out. You can expect to look strange in the eyes of the world. Following Christ will require that you go directly against the flow of culture, but that is your calling and it will point people towards your Savior.

As we continue this study on the desires of our flesh, Pastor Danny highlights the need for us to exercise saying “no” to things. Even things that are not a matter of life and death – like cutting things off your diet, for example – just for the sake of strengthening your ability to say no. We want to be strong and win the battle against sin!
