Have you ever passed up the help that someone’s offered to you? And you thought you didn’t need it. Or maybe it was even because you didn’t want to inconvenience the person that was offering. Well, in today's message Pastor Danny reminds us that we can’t do that with God and then still expect Him to do good works in our lives. If God has offered you his hand in salvation why should he offer you anything else instead? If you won’t receive the ultimate gift would you settle for something less?
Have you ever lost track of time and made the mistake of thinking you might have way more left of it? Maybe you underestimated how much a work project would take and then the deadline came out of nowhere. In today’s message, Pastor Danny explains that we need to be cognizant of the fact that we may run out of time before we expect. We can often make the mistake of not repenting of sin, thinking of maybe we could do it later. Do you want to be stuck with your sin if you were to die today?
In today’s message, Pastor Danny teaches about the time when Jesus said not to let anything go to waste. So what would it mean to let something go to waste in the first place? It means that it doesn’t further the kingdom of God. So if you’re blessed with anything extra, don’t just keep it to yourself show God's generosity and grace to others by giving them that extra that you don’t need. Despite our sins, God still graciously offers us eternity. Don’t you think that you could spare some surplus for others?
Sometimes we can get so set on doing things a certain way that we forget other ways that it could be done. In today’s message, Pastor Danny encourages us to give to the Lord by helping those in need. It’s easy to think that we can just give money to the church and be done with it and it’s certainly not bad to donate to the church, but there are so many more ways that we can further God’s kingdom. One of the best ways is to invite more people in, not just to the church, but into God’s grace.
Here’s a definite first-world problem that I am sure you’ve had to face. have you ever gotten tired of eating? I don’t mean, just getting full, I mean, have you ever tasted the same flavor for so long that you just don’t enjoy it anymore? Well, in today’s message, Pastor Danny compares this to being religious instead of having an actual relationship with Jesus Christ. He says that throughout his many discussions he found Christian schoolchildren to be the most spiritually dead. Why does that happen if they know the Bible so well?
Have you ever seen a one-sided dice? Ha ha it’s not possible, is it? Well, even if there were only two sides there has to be a place on the other side. Think of it like a coin, there are heads and tails. There can’t just be one without the other right? Well in today’s message, Pastor Danny explains why hell is a real place. If God is good and allows evil to exist, it has to be in a place that is separate from him, that’s hell. Thankfully, we are given the opportunity to avoid the hell that we very much deserve by living in Christ.
Have you ever been caught doing something wrong, maybe with your parents or with a partner? What’s often the first thing that you try to do? Well, you probably start thinking of how you can spend the situation so it’s not actually your fault. well in today’s message Pastor Danny explains that we are often in the same situation with. Making up all sorts of excuses as to why we are turning to sin. We can try and use our circumstances or life story really anything to try and excuse ourselves, but in the end, who is the one making the choices?
When God is described as loving, people often make the mistake of thinking they can live however they want. Well in today’s message, Pastor Danny explains that’s not the case. Would a parent be loving if they let their kids do whatever they wanted? Obviously not, but why? It’s because the parent understands that having no limits or never learning respect, will eventually lead to pain and destruction and their kid's lives. A loving parent is going to show their kids what is right.
