The people that you spend the most time with are the people who will influence what you say, do, and even where you choose to go. And if you choose to be around bitter people, that bitterness could rub off on you and other people in your life. Choose to spend your time with fellow believers in Christ.

Have you ever felt embittered towards someone? Well in today’s message, Pastor Danny will share with you what bitterness is and the dangers that come with it. To be bitter towards someone means that you have harsh ill will towards them or a chip on your shoulder towards someone hurting you. But that bitterness can turn into anger and everyone knows the dangers of anger. The Bible says that if you hate someone in your heart you might as well have murdered them. It’s a sin.

If you grew up in a Christian household it’s likely that you were disciplined with the ‘rod of correction’ that the Bible talks about for parents to use. But as an adult, there is no one around to use the rod of correction on you anymore. So do you just not get punished? Well, the story of David had some interesting insights. His sins against God didn’t go unnoticed. There were consequences for what he had done.

Not everyone struggles with the same thing all the time. For each person, there is a unique weakness. For some that weak spot might be overindulgence, lying, or gossiping. But no matter what your weak spot might be it’s the job of every believer in Christ to not cause their brother or sister in Christ to stumble. And in today’s message Pastor Danny will remind you that you need to be aware that you live in a community of believers. You need to be aware of what you do around others as it could cause them harm.
