When we watch the power and authority of God work in the world through us, it's easy to get distracted. Jesus gives the disciples a world view adjustment and reminds them to rejoice more about their names being written in heaven then over any display of power anywhere here on earth. Pastor Danny says that all that stuff is for here, but your name in the lamb's book of life is forever. The greatest miracle ever preformed here on earth was Jesus on the cross giving his life for us. You can be in a right relationship with the father.

Eventually we are all going to stand before God as He judges us. Whether that happens at our death or at the return of Christ it's not something that anyone can avoid. But Pastor Danny tells us today that we want to avoid the Great White Throne judgement, that one is for those who haven't been covered by the blood of the lamb. The one whose name isn't in the lambs book of life. Under the old covenant, the Israelites would sacrifice animals to atone for their sins. It was a temporary sacrifice that needed to be repeated. But when Jesus offered himself as a sacrifice it was a one time sacrifice that covered every person and every sin forever. Pastor Danny is going to show us the result of that one time sacrifice today. That means that our sins are permanently covered, but on top of that the sacrifice of Jesus invited us into the family of God. We're coheirs with Christ!

Pastor Danny takes us on a tour of the temple today, from the outer courts to the inner most place, the Holy of Holies. And as he does, he will show us how Jesus is the fulfillment of every element contained within the temple. Ultimately it's the death of Jesus that allowed us into the most holy place. When Jesus died, the temple curtain ripped from top to bottom revealing the holy place where the presence of God rested. Because of Jesus' death, we are invited into intimate relationship with God.

Jesus is the better priest. He's better because He lives forever and He can save you completely and forever. The priests that came before Him all eventually died and a new priest needed to take their place, but Jesus conquered death and lives forever. We will never need another intermediary between us and God because Jesus has done that work perfectly and completely. Pastor Danny is going to show us all the ways that Jesus is a better priest in todays message.
