   This episode features Alex Hoffer. His style is a mix of blues, rock, and funk. His voice is incredibly smooth. He plays all over Joliet and the surrounding areas. He has opened for Howie Day and The Gin Blossoms. Recently, Alex has been playing a ton of shows from Wisconsin to Missouri. He's one of the easiest people to work with in the music world. His original material hits the mark with great hooks and lyrics that tell a story. He is a master at drawing the audience in. Alex is all over the theme song for our show. He reads some lines in the monologue, and he's singing with John Condron on the vocals for the tune. I think we did a good job of picking his brain for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

   In these initial episodes, we hope to bring out the origin stories of how these musicians got their start. I was always a fan of behind the scenes stories. Most of the time I believe it gives you a better understanding and appreciation of whatever topic may be on the table.

    It was really great to have Riverhorse come on, and do the show with us. The songs turned out to be something wonderful. Their sound, to me is a unique blend of indie rock with a folk pace and groove. I liked it so much that you'll be hearing an excerpt of the second tune they played as the show's outro.
