We are back!!
For the next few episodes, I will be bringing on people who I have known for quite a while to discuss the seasons of life & entrepreneurship based on their path to location independence.
Today I get the esteemed pleasure to talk with NatNJodie from House Sitting Academy who are some of my oldest and dearest friends that I have made since starting my own entrepreneurial journey. We are discussing what their current season of life entails, how they got there, and what is happening next. This is a look at the honest truth about the location indie lifestyle and how it progresses and morphs throughout our lives (aka seasons).
What season is your life currently in? Let us know over on Instagram!
It has been a minute since we did a podcast but that is because we are imagining what this season is going to look like moving forward.
During this episode, Trav is contemplating the seasons of life and how they have to end before new ones can begin. This can be exciting and terrifying all at once but it can also be a relief to realize that these moments are a part of the journey.
Take a listen and see where are Trav's thoughts in this current season and what the future of the Location Indie podcast is going to look like.

How do you handle negative reviews?
When you put yourself out there you will eventually get a bad review (or two or three) but how you take in the information will dictate the overall outcome. You can't let it beat you down but can those reviews sometimes be catalysts to new ideas and changes...Absolutely.
Today we are diving into how we process negative reviews, steps to take to gleam any constructive criticism out of them, and how putting yourself in their shoes can make all the difference in how you feel about the review. This goes for any reviews you may receive in life whether they are from colleagues, friends, family, or strangers on the internet.
How have you handled bad reviews? What are your best tips and tricks for when you get criticism? Let us know over on Instagram @LocationIndie.
This is a hard one as change is oftentimes difficult.
We are saying goodbye to one-half of the founding team at Location Indie and that is never easy. We are very excited about the new journey that he is going on and we get to watch him succeed in all the new ways that we know he will.
While we will miss our friend on the business end of things, he is still our friend and that will never change so family vacations, podcast guesting, and late-night phone calls will still be happening.
Don't worry though because the LI podcast, community, and Lifestyle Launch Academy is still going strong and won't be going away anytime soon.
Change isn't inherently bad but a chance to redesign, rethink, and reimagine a bigger and better version of your life and how you live it. This is a good thing!
We will miss you, brother!
Do you struggle to make habits stick? What about, breaking habits? Have you had success in kicking some not-so-great habits to the curb?
Trav & J are talking all about habits: building awareness of our habits, deciding which habits are serving you and which aren't, how you can change or morph the bad ones or solidify the good ones, and why you need a plan to execute the habits you want to continue.
How do you go about habit making or breaking? Let us know over on Instagram @LocationIndie.
We heard (& loved) your requests and are going to be exploring some different location independent careers throughout this year. If you have a specific type of work you want us to speak about (or bring on an expert) then hit us up at [email protected].
But for today, Lynne & Kaycee are getting into what is a community manager, what tasks are expected, and what are the goals of a CM. They speak from years of experience running the Location Indie community as well as tons of Facebook Groups, and other types of paid and non-paid communities.
If you have ever wondered what it is like to be a CM and are interested in learning more about this type of work then hang out with us as we get into the nitty-gritty. If you are running your own community then this may also help guide you as well.
We hope you enjoy this episode and please let us know if you want to hear more from the ladies of LI by shooting us an email at [email protected] or tagging us in a post on Instagram.
Today we are discussing why we spent 20k on coaching, how it can fast track your progress, and why coaching is such a positive investment in your future.
You can get to the next level on your own or you can utilize the minds & experience of those who are already doing it and doing it well, the choice is always yours. We choose to invest in ourselves (& businesses) to get to the stage we want in a much faster fashion because we know that time is money and spending all that time to figure it out on our own wasn't going to benefit us in the long run.
Have you ever invested in yourself & your dreams? Has coaching ever helped you in the past? What was the most impactful thing that has happened to you with a coach?
Today is all about the 3 types of people who are trying to go location independent and we will narrow down the best way that we see to get you there. Here is some foreshadowing, the best way to go about it isn't the way that we necessarily got to location independence but join us as we dig into the triangle of freedom & give you some insights to get you the life you want & desire.
What part of the triangle are you going after first, please email us at [email protected] and let us know!
So this episode is going to be a little different and that is because the team is taking over the podcast. Don't worry the guys will be back but you will also get to hear a bit more from the ladies of LI from time to time.
When we were discussing what we wanted to talk about in today's episode, we knew right away that the #1 thing we all had in common was being females in the entrepreneurial world. So we will get into our struggles internally and externally, the joys and camaraderie of being around other amazing females, plus the pros and cons of being location independent in today's climate.
We hope you enjoy this episode and please let us know if you want to hear more from the ladies of LI by shooting us an email at [email protected] or tagging us in a post on Instagram.
