Today we are talking about the BNSF Chicago Cicero Intermodal Facility. Located at 5601 W. 26th Street in Cicero, Illinois. This terminal is one of Chicago’s key intermodal hubs, linking the Windy City, to the Pacific Northwest by rail every day, long double-stack trains roll in from Seattle and Tacoma, carrying containers from major steamship lines – think Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, COSCO, Ocean Network Express (ONE), Evergreen and more. These big-name ocean carriers rely on Cicero to whisk their cargo inland after it arrives at West Coast ports.
