The Aunty Grace Roberts Community Development Awards have been running for 20 Years in honour of a Women that worked tirelessly for the Coffs Harbour Community.
Aunty Sue fought for Aunty Grace to be acknowledged through these awards over 20 years ago and every year we recognise people that go above and beyond for Aboriginal People in the Coffs Harbour Area.
Just recently Council announced their intentions to change the name of the Awards Night to "Yandaarra Aboriginal Community Awards".
Council did NOT Consult with us and we don't agree with this and our Community have started a petition against this name change.
In this Podcast Aunty Sue talks about why these awards mean so much to this Community.
