Since their first appearance on the battlefield in World War I, tanks evolved rapidly over the years and these armored fortresses were used to great effect in World War II. Although history classes led us to believe the infamous assassination of Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand was the spark that thrusted the world into a fight for the ages, this may have not been the case.
