My guest today is Natalie Price, an Austin-based Indie-americana musician, whose activity in the music industry has been affected hard by the coronavirus crisis.

She played her last live show at the onset of the lockdown, and for the first time ever she found herself asking people not to come to her gig.

We talk about how Texas musicians are going through this crisis, and what they can do support each other.

Natalie also shares what she does everyday to stay in touch with her friends, fans and music community.

Like our previous guests, Natalie is staying positive as she adjusts her life to the new situation that could potentially last for months.

Today we’re joined by Ji Kang, Head Chef of Sloane’s Corner, who has been in the restaurant industry for over ten years.

In all that time he’s never experienced anything like what’s happened over the last month, and has had to make innovative business decisions in order to survive. 

The virus has forced him to become more creative and to offer different services that allow him to still make some kind of revenue. 

We talk about what long lasting effects this outbreak will have, as well as the importance of being positive and sticking together.

My first guest in this series is Tamara Deike, the founder of Aces High Creative. She is a creative leader who works with brands to develop ideas, partnerships and experiences.

As Tamara mainly works in music and entertainment industries that are based around live events, her business has been shell-shocked by the pandemic.

Austin is filled with different taco places, but Torchy’s is one we’ve both eaten at many times before and it never disappoints. 

While eating our conversation turns towards movies and the documentary I recently saw ‘Don’t Fuck with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer’.

In this episode I’m joined by the legendary Bob Schneider, an Austin-based musician, producer, visual artist, and podcaster.

Bob has won 58 Austin Music Awards to date, and has been a resident at the Lonelyland Saxon Pub for 20 years now, where he plays every week.

He is the host of two podcasts, I’m OK You’re OK, I’m Not OK, You’re Not OK, and The Song Club. Bob Schneider’s most recent album Blood & Bones was released in 2018.

I brought in some home-made breakfast tacos, and we went on chatting for almost two hours. We talked about many things, from what kind of food Bob like to eat, how it was to be a musician on the KISS Cruise, how he tried to bury a deer once, to how much music awards mean to him.

Although we didn’t get to eat the tacos in the end from too much talking, we had some great laughs and an awesome conversation.
