The Lookback Rule: A Youth Softball Podcast

Our 12U girls rec softball team just won it all, and we're breaking down how it happened.

In Episode 11, Coach Kelly and Coach Jeff recap the Volts' fall 2026 season: losing our star pitcher, playing under watered-down 12U rules, and going 5-0 through the IPGSA Gold bracket against the best youth softball teams in the Denver metro.

We get real about the frustrations (opposing coaches, parents, and even umps who didn't know the rules) and share what every volunteer coach should do when a rule dispute comes up. Then the good stuff: team chemistry, a dugout full of leaders, families who trust their coaches, and the full tournament story, including a scoring dispute, a 10-8 nail-biter against our sister team, and finally beating the team that beat us twice.
