Kapusta Recipe1 head of green cabbage, shredded1 pound Kielbasa, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces1 onion, choppedSeveral cloves of chopped garlic, to tasteCooking oil of choice1 16-oz can sauerkraut12 oz. tomato juice or V8You'll need a large pot or a Dutch oven.Saute onion and garlic in oil until onion is translucent. Add cabbage, meat, and sauerkraut.Add tomato juice, then three more 12-ounce measures of water.Heat to boiling, then lower to a simmer. Cover pot and check on it occasionally to make sure you don't need to top up with water (as cabbage cooks down, this won't be a problem). Once cabbage has cooked down, stir every half hour or so.Sour cream on top is divine, and it goes well with pierogi.
