In this portion of the bride's journey she discovers the paradox of spiritual growth. She finds that the place of sitting down, of resting in the provision of her Bridegroom is the place of awakening. By simply sitting down and receiving the goodness of God our spirits are revived in such a way that cannot be accomplished in our own human striving. Are you feeling spiritually dry or worn out? Sit down in the shade of what Yeshua has done for you. This is the place where you will be awakened and renewed in love.

The Bride holds close to her heart the sacrificial love of her Bridegroom.

In deep gratitude she says; A bundle of myrrh is my beloved to me! Sitting at the table, partaking of the abundance of the King's goodness, she offers voluntary offerings of worship. As you listen to this episode may you more fully appreciate the redemptive work that Yeshua accomplished for you. Hold the bundle of myrrh close to your heart!

After a season of grappling with shame and being burdened by the expectations of others, the bride ask where she can be fed directly by her beloved. The bridegroom answers with a divine prescription, a path that if followed will lead to greater intimacy with the Shepherd. Some of His answers are surprising. May you be encouraged to continue on as a person in pursuit of the "one thing"! One thing I have desired of the Lord that I may dwell in the house of the Lord. Ps 27:4

Having just started the journey, the bride is now acutely aware of her immaturity and faults. In the midst of this she is also aware of a loveliness that has been imparted to her heart, a hope of total victory. When our faults hit us in the face will we retreat into a shell of shame or still lay our hearts in openness before God? The journey to mature love only reaches its goal as the bride receives mercy in her weakness and overcomes the stifling voice of the accuser.

The bride is drawn to the intense fragrance of her beloved. This fragrance speaks of the inner thoughts and emotions that are behind all that the Bridegroom does. Why did he lay down His life? Why does He pursue her? The fragrance of Messiah is the inner working of His heart that come forth in redeeming acts of love. May your love be awakened by His fragrance! Keep pursuing this theme that is both satisfying to the soul and right in every way. No wonder the bride says "Rightly do they love you!"

The Bride is fully convinced that God's love is better than wine. She is so exhilarated by the love of her Bridegroom that she would much rather choose Him over any earthly delight. Be inspired in this podcast to say with wholehearted conviction, "Your love is better than wine!" As you do, the tentacles of temptation will lose their grip on your heart and you will gladly set your face on the reward of being near to the lover of your soul.

Brayden and Tali discuss the Bridal picture of Passover and then begin digging into the Song of Songs. In the opening lines of the book the Bride cries out for the kisses of the mouth. These intimate kisses speak of The Word of God that comes forth from His mouth.  Historically, both Christian and Jewish interpreters have understood this passage as the Brides desire for God to communicate His love through His Word.

During this Passover season may you be touched anew by the sacrificial love of Yeshua. His Word has the power to impart love to your heart and enable you to finish the race strong.
