Hospital costs account for 47 cents of every Blue Cross premium dollar, and have risen 250% since 2000, more than triple the rate of inflation. Blue Cross is partnering with hospitals to pay for quality outcomes rather than the volume of services, incentivizing better patient care and accepting financial responsibility when outcomes aren’t met.

June 2, 2025 ~ Lucy Ann Lance talks with Buddy Stark, Planetarium Manager, University of Michigan Museum of Natural History as we look skyward for the month of June! They discuss the summer solstice on June 20th, the best time to view the Milky Way, and the new T-Rex film being shown at the planetarium. Buddy explained that the summer solstice marks the longest day of the year when the North Pole is most directly pointed toward the sun and that the Milky Way is most visible in the summer in areas with dark skies away from city lights.
