Dboe and Jeremy get together for another episode of The Main Phase. WOTC recently announced a new format exclusively available on Arena, Historic. This new format is a casual eternal format allowing Arena users to utilize their cards that rotate out of standard.

Pauper has a new face lift as well! In a shocking announcement, Pauper has become an official format of Magic: the Gathering. WOTC has merged the paper and online Pauper formats into one cohesive format, sanctioning it along side the other eternal formats. What's more, 400 new cards have now been officially entered into the Pauper format, giving the format a new vigor not seen since its inception.

But with all of these new formats comes turmoil. Is WOTC producing too much product? Can players afford to keep buying into each? Or are players missing the mark, and should instead just pick the products that interest them only?

Oh, also Core Set 2020 has some amazing cards!

Mythic Championship III just finished with some interesting results, both with the deck statistical breakdown as well as the viewership numbers. 

Spoilers are in full swing for Core Set 2020. Matt and Dboe are especially excited for some of the new pieces found in the set, and share some of their top favorites spoiled at the time of recording.

Lastly, MTG fatigue plagues every player, and especially content creators who are always thinking about the game, LSG shares some of their tips on how to combat the fatigue and strengthen your mental stamina for the game.

The gang tries something a little different this week. Matt, JB, and DBoe all sit down and talk about, well, whatever. We barged headlong into this cast without an agenda just to see what would happen.
The first thing on our minds was the new Chandras. What do they mean? Will they be played? Also, we debate what the new Core 2020 set might bring. Snow Lands? Who knows? Finally, we do a little goofing off, talking about what we've enjoyed in the past and what we want to see in Standard next.

On May 13th, Wizards announced the replacements for Yuuya and Gerry in the Mythic Pro League: Savjz and Jessica Estephan. Both participated in the Mythic Invitational. Savjz has been playing Magic for a while and is a well-known streamer. Jessica is a successful pro player and had the highest pro points of any woman in the 2017-2018 pro season. With neither being the next in line based on pro points, the decision has drawn all sorts of attention. Matt and DBoe give their take on it.

A while ago we did a live deck build and it was received well, so we’re back with another! Starting with a vague theme and a few new interesting cards, Matt and DBoe work through the synergies they like and the cards they think fit the deck best, talking through their thoughts on each card.

This week JB and Dboe get together to discuss how they are preparing for MagicFest/Grand Prix Kansas City and analyze emerging meta decks from the Magic Pro League and how they stand up in competitive play, as well as discuss the decks' secret techs against their worst match ups.

With the Mythic Invitational II come and gone, Matt and Jeremy have a thing or two to say about it. Not the games as much as the new rule introduced: the London Mulligan. Tron, Arclight Phoenix and more got a nice little boost to their results. Why was that? What are people saying about the London Mulligan?

Also, we take a look at the first results of the new meta. Which decks are on the rise? Which ones are falling? Which ones didn't even show up? We talk about which ones we like the most as well.Finally, poor Matt tried grabbing a Mythic Edition on eBay and, well, you can pretty much guess how that worked out. What should Wizards do about this? How bad was it, really?
