In this episode, we begin our Messy Church series through 1 Corinthians by exploring one of the most dysfunctional churches in the New Testament. The believers in Corinth were dealing with division, immorality, lawsuits, abuse of the Lord’s Supper, false teaching, chaos in worship, and even confusion about the resurrection. Yet through it all, the Apostle Paul calls them back to one central truth.

Their greatest issue wasn’t just behavior, it was focus. They had taken their eyes off the cross.

Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection is what separates the Church from a social club or nonprofit. The cross is where we receive power over sin, grace for forgiveness, and strength to grow in Christlikeness. It’s also the foundation of true Christian unity.

This message challenges us to refocus on the main thing—Christ crucified—and to keep Jesus at the center of our lives and our churches.
