This past weekend, I had the honor of watching my dad and his 1962 Mt. San Antonio state championship track and field team be inducted into the Hall of Fame more than sixty years after their victory.
As I sat in that room listening to stories of gratitude, mentorship, and lifelong impact, two powerful phrases shared during the ceremony by Hall of Fame inductee, Laura Beeman stayed with me:
“It’s the significance of what you do, not the success.”“We get to shape people, but we also get shaped.”
In this episode, I reflect as a proud daughter witnessing a lifetime of legacy and what it stirred in me about the kind of impact I want to leave behind. We explore the difference between success and significance, how legacy is built in ordinary daily moments, and the beautiful truth that while we shape others, we are continually shaped in return.
If you have ever wondered what kind of legacy you are building in your classroom, your family, or your everyday work, this episode is an invitation to pause and reflect.
In the end, it is not just about what we achieve.
It is about what truly matters. 💛
