The Maker's Happy Hour

Tonight we speak with the dynamic content duo of Justin Mabie (@_Callmemabie_) and April Wilkerson (@Wilker_Dos). This episode becomes Justin's "Quarterly performance review", we learn that everything is bigger in Texas, discuss our school mascots, give tips on how to eat a hot dog, and discuss the merits of chocolate milk on a hot day. Apparently, Justin is pretty bad at asking out girls, April drops some really motivating knowledge bombs, and Justin tells a very graphic story.

Tonight we chat with Alma of Pink Soul Studios (@Pinksoulstudios) about our poop schedules, the ultimate Pickel, the best hamburger, and the importance of noodle texture in Mac and Cheese. We agreed that Kettle Corn is delicious, our favorite cartoons, and our past experiences with pet fish. Alma lays down some great advise on working with sponsors, and it all ends as something spectacular explodes outside of Lindsay’s house.

Tonight we chat with Shara (@Woodshopdiaries) about advancements in frozen Pizza technology, our favorite seafoods, and our enthusiasm for communal nachos. We get into the detail’s of Shara’s house build in the middle of a field of beans, how corn is harvested, and describe our favorite barbecue sauces. Shara’s such a fun guest- that we’ve had her twice! (We accidentally deleted the first chat.)

Tonight we chat with MJ (@Mecyver) about cats, everyone’s favorite bread, and men’s overalls. We take a deep dive into pizza, wetsuits, and her favorite pair of pants. 
At some point Craig has a side conversation with his father about what gear a VW bus should be in to go up a particular hill, and completely forgot to edit out. 
MJ is a household name in the maker world, and we loved hanging out with her!

Tonight we chat with woodworking teacher Amanda Russel (@Sawdustwoman) about flip phones, old technology, and shaving your legs with a straight razor. We talk about sardines and other preserved small fishes, technological advancements that effect our lives, and our favorite wood working tools! Amanda is a fun person empowering the next group of wood workers, and we’re proud to call her our friend!

Tonight we chat with our new friend Margot Wolf (@Margotwolfjewelry), a Texas based jeweler that we just met like running into someone at a bar. Despite being someone who produces high end bolo-ties and has owned multiple Dodge Strati (Is that the plural for a Dodge Stratus?), she's a pretty cool person! We learn all about flying squirrels as pets, discuss our favorite pizzas, and carnivorous plants. In the end, we find out that Margot and Lindsay went to the same college, at about the same time! CRAZY! Small world!

Tonight we chat with Nick and Kaitlyn of Knabe Woodworking (@Knabewoodwork) about Horology, Cartography, and professional cornhole. We get some guidance in how to reach out to brands you'd like to work with, how to build a relationship with sponsors, and the importance of a good hug.

Tonight we chat with a Lazy Guy named Adam (@lazyguydiy) about the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We dive deep into our favorite berries, the first person to eat a tomato, words with friends, and the predatory instincts of chickens.
Adam is a good friend, a fun guy, and a truly wise man- despite his proclivity for efficiency (Laziness).

Tonight we chat with Kimberlee Watson (@kimberleewatsonart), an artist that we just met on this podcast. Just like we’re hanging out at a bar, we brought on someone that was a stranger to us (but left as a friend!). 
This Texas based painter taught us everything we need to know about the ideal grilled cheese sandwich, we had a lengthy discussion on how to install a duvet cover on a down comforter, and talked a bunch about ghosts. We learned about her acting career, our recognition in the value of dry cleaning, and the tastiness of hotdogs. 
Hopefully, she’s your friend now as well!

Tonight we chat with our buddy Adam Rich of @Rich17designs about slabs of wood, the extremeness of Australia, and a resurgence in "Pogs". We lay down some hot tips on how to grow better tomatoes, review energy drinks, and watch something weird involving "Robo Cop". There's few things better in this world then a vocal performance of the EDM song "Sandstorm", so luckily- we also included that!
