There is a thinking problem found on both left and right: It is to assume that because a bad thing happened, the opposition WANTED it to happen.

E.g. Bush wanted 9/11. Obama wanted Ferguson rioting. Trump wanted Jan 6 rioting. Biden wants hyper-inflation.

People who can't name drawbacks to their positions should be ignored.

Virtually nobody on the left can tell you a drawback.  Which means virtually nobody on the left should be listened to, except in self-defense.

When young people live in the past, it usually means they're leftists.

Feminists pretend women can't work.  Or can't work much.  Or can't get fairly paid for their work.

Environmentalists pretend our lakes/air are dirty.  Or that our forests are vanishing.

BLM pretends there are lynchings amuck.  Or that cops are more likely to shoot a black man who resists arrest.

Social justice types pretend the poor starve.  Or that the rich don't pay their "fair share."

I issue a correction and clarification for last week's conclusion:  Of course, our experiences matter in what we believe, but LARGE numbers of them.  What our parents believed or what our society believed over thousands of pronouncements.

Cornell Law School tells me Stare decisis is Latin for “to stand by things decided.”  This is a stupid principle in the case of the Supreme Court:  It tells them, after all, to use two sometimes opposite principles to decide cases.  (Or even three, in the case of leftist justices)

I don't expect this court to overturn Roe:  For one, I expect one or two will do the braindead "stare decicis" ruling which could be only one line long if they didn't draw it out.  For two, the left wins wins wins wins.  And the right lose lose lose loses.  Barbara has an idea why.
