In today’s episode, I sat down with Oceana Hazut, a woman and a mother walking the path least traveled, as most would say! Oceana has spent the majority of her life learning about natural women’s medicine, rituals and traditions of the womb, and healing ancestral lineages. She had always felt a deep calling to become a birth worker, and once she transitioned into motherhood herself, she began pursuing her work as a Holistic Childbirth educator. In this episode we dive into her motherhood journey, her birth story, the work she does with mothers, ancestral birthing and what that really means, as well as the natural hormonal physiology of birth - a topic which is extremely fascinating - and so much more! Oceana is a woman that walks the talk, and holds so much experiential wisdom. Having her on the podcast was such an honor, and I am so grateful to share this episode with you today!

In today's episode, I converse with the beautiful Brandi Frazier. A mama that saved her own life and is now changing other mama's lives. She had an extremely traumatic experience postpartum, almost losing her life. But through advocating for herself she was able to save her own life. From this experience, an incredible platform was born. Brandi created Bee Empowered Mama with the vision to support mothers at every stage of their journey by providing them with all the right knowledge to feel empowered and remember that their voice and needs do matter. In this interview we will discuss her birth experience, how she healed the trauma from her postpartum experience, the work she is doing with mothers today, valuable advice on how to advocate for yourself, and a topic that I am very much new to but want to continue learning about - Black Maternal Health Crisis. Knowledge is power and this episode is just that. This conversation left me feeling inspired, empowered, and just vibrating; and I have no doubt it will do the same for you!
Enjoy!

In this episode, I chat with two beautiful souls: Mother and daughter Anne and Laura Smollon from What You Never Expect, a platform created to support mamas in every stage of their journey with a strong focus on reclaiming their sense of self. Anne has a master's in social work, is an NLP practitioner, positive psychology coach, and author, as well as a veteran mama of three children! Laura is a graphic designer, digital editor, nutrition coach in training and has a beautiful perspective to share from the child's point of view. In the interview, we dive into how Anne and Laura built a strong bond and the parenting techniques that created a happy, harmonious dynamic in their family. We also discuss Maternal Intrapersonal Anxiety, a term that Anne created to describe the loss of self some mothers experience; we talk about grief in motherhood, how to navigate these feelings and come back to ourselves, and SO much more.
I hope you enjoy this one and receive as much value as I did! I genuinely wish I could have conversed with Laura and Anne forever because they both have a beautifully unique perspective that holds so much value for us mamas.
Enjoy!
