Do Not get this Story!!
What was most disappointing about John Galsworthys story?
If you are a fan (as I am) of Victorian fiction, this book completely misses the mark. It long and the details are unnecessary the central point of the story. Matter-of-fact i don't think there is a central point to this story.
You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I can't think of any redeeming qualities to this book. I found it very boring and hard to follow, with too many characters and nothing about the characters to make you want to care about their fates.
Any additional comments?
I wouldn't recommend this book, especially if you a a fan of the works of Jane Austin or Charles Dickens or any other author during this period. The book felt written by someone who researched the times and not actually lived it. The story is lacking in the Victorian sensibility that drives us to read and re-read those stories written so long ago.
