As go the men, so goes the home. As go the men, so goes the church. As go the men, so goes society.

These are the realities revealed to us in Scripture, in history, and our current cultural context. Homes are broken, faltering, and otherwise spiritually malnourished because of a lack of godly leadership modeled by biblically-minded men. Churches are misdirected, splintering, and shutting down because of misinformed and misdirected men. And society is speeding ever faster in the direction of godless autonomy because of compromises that have been made with the culture by fearful, compromising men.

These things should not be! Men of God are to embody the godly virtue and wisdom which God has revealed to them in His Word. Men of God are called to love their wives sacrificially, train up their children faithfully, serve their church joyfully, work heartily, steward God’s blessings wisely, pursue purity vigorously, live counter-culturally, and pray unceasingly and expectantly. Men of God are called to embody strength, bravery, and courage in the face of a culture that constantly calls them to compromise.

In short, men of God are called to be men of valor.
