It was all about the friends you made along the way to rescue Baby Yoda. 

Mando and friends overcame a lot to get Baby Yoda back, including: plot devices, jammed guns, no one reading the footnotes about how the Dark Saber worked, killer droids with no thought of concussion protocols, and Mof Gideon's speeches.

Oh, and then a Skywalker showed up (did we think we'd really get a whole show without a single Skywalker? Silly Stef)
