On this episode of the Maneater Digest, Grace Burwell starts off by going into detail about famous poet Emily Dickinson and the honors tutorial class offered here at MU about her life and history. Then, staying with history, Abby Henshaw will take us down memory lane by taking a look at the MU student center over the years. Lastly, Izabelle Cool puts the spotlight on five female-owned student businesses here in Columbia. Ranging from photography to clothes to nutrition, the businesses are all very different but all run by women here at Mizzou.

It’s the day before election day! In this episode of the Maneater Digest, we first hear from Shane LaGesse and Zach Akeson about their article on voter registration in Missouri. A new law has been put in place that requires a government-issued ID to vote, which is different than in years past. They talk about how this may affect turnout and what voters can do to make sure they are still able to cast their votes in the midterm elections tomorrow, Nov. 8.

Then, Molly Gibbs discusses her opinion piece on climate change policies in Missouri, which is just one major issue that should be considered when voting. She goes into which Missourian candidates she believes would do the most for the environment and for fighting climate change should they get elected.

In this episode of The Maneater Digest we’ll speak to two news reporters about their story on the bodily autonomy protest on October 6th, and talk to sports editor Riley Gearhart, who gives us her commentary on how the Tiger’s football season is going.
